Microsoft to Stay Beside in Digital Bangladesh Vision

We are eager to achieve digital liberation in our country and Microsoft has pledged to become a part of the vision to making digital Bangladesh.

Our dream is to become one of the leading digitally independent countries ​in the world. Government declared that Bangladesh should fully be digitized by 2021 through application of third generation information and communication technology.​ We have proved our potential in the past and the time now is to fulfill the dream.

There is a good news in this regard. Microsoft is willing to collaborate with us such that both public and private organizations are benefitted. President of Microsoft Asia and Corporate Vice President, Ralph Haupter made a one-day visit to Bangladesh on Oct 3, 2017. He had an effective discussion with the senior government and private officials of the country during his day long visit.

He met the finance minister AMA Muhith and governor of Bangladesh Bank Fazle Kabir​ to ​discuss​ regarding ​the development of the financial services and ICT of​ Bangladesh. Haupter also met with our honorable state minister for post and telecommunications Tarana Halim, to discuss on the aspects of digital transformation in Bangladesh ​willing to be a partner ​of the process. ​​

Haupter also met with board members of City Bank to share ideas about the importance of digital transformation in the banking and financial services Industry​.​ So, this is ​very encouraging that ​technology giant like ​Microsoft​ is ​eager ​to help us ​in succeeding our vision. Sonia Bashir Kabir, Managing Director of Microsoft Bangladesh appreciated Haupter’s aim​ expecting for a positive change of our digitalization scenario.​

Haupter demonstrates his strong ​commitment of ​ empowering every person and business of Bangladesh with the tools and technical ​solutions to reap the benefits of the digital economy.
